Christmas Wedding Cripps Barn | Kimberley and Michael
I was lucky enough to shoot a Christmas Wedding Cripps Barn at the end of last year and it was an amazing festive warm wedding. December was a pretty crazy time for us. Our Twins were born on the 20th of Nov and they were in hospital due to turning up in 2015 rather than 2016.
Kimberley and Michael's wedding was just what I needed, two awesome folks getting wed is enough to lighten any mood. I met these guys at the beginning of 2015 at the Cripps Barn Wedding Venue open day. They gave me that warm fuzzy feeling talking about the plans for their Christmas Wedding. Christmas Wedding Cripps Barn is beautiful because of the big open fires and candlelit rooms and warm cosy feel. Kimberley and Michael did a great job making it feel intimate with lots of candles and lanterns low lighting and a lot of booze. And of course, there was a Christmas Tree with all the coloured lights to match their wedding.
I did not have to shoot this one on my own as my good friend and amazing Wedding Photographer John Day came over to lend a hand. John covered Michael and his crew getting ready followed by meeting and greeting their wedding guests. I can't talk about this wedding without mentioning the amazing sunset that finished a day of unpredictable weather. We had it all, overcast to rain then as Kimberly and Michael walked down the aisle after their ceremony there was some bright sun followed by the warmest of winter sunsets. It was perfect and made for some beautiful light for the portraits of the Two of them. Kimberly and Michael, I hope you guys have an amazing One year anniversary and thanks again for having me document your wedding.
