Islington town hall wedding | Mildmay club
Kate and Magic Dave’s (Kave) Islington Town Hall Wedding had a number of my all-time favourite wedding moments in it.
Islington Townhall is nothing new to me. I really like the place I have photographer 5-6 times this year the thing that makes this wedding different is what the magic show the first dance.
After the ceremony, we all hopped on a red bus to The Leconfield Pub for drinks and food. There were some awesome speeches that ended with Dave standing up and pointing to the door and shouting “hit it!” A Mariachi band started playing and everyone was told to get their coats a bags and we all started walking lead by the music of The Mexican way.
Music was playing and everyone was dancing and shaking hands with people as they walked passed.
We arrived at the Mildmay Club an old working man’s club with all the charm you would expect.
After some welcome cocktails, the first dance kicked off. Jungle – Busy Earnin started with Kate and Dave in matching kappas with light-up shoe’s BOOOM they flipping smashed it.
Shortly after the dance and after a bit of dancing and DJ time with Tete Bang, Magic Dave hit the floor with the show. The card tricks and making Kate appear, lead to once of the greatest wedding moments of my career so far.
I got to head down to the snooker hall with Kave after and photograph their couples portraits in the low light of the basement that has not changed since its heyday.
This wedding had so much energy and craziness it was one of my favourites ever.
